As your class parents, we are responsible for making sure you are “in the know” with regard to current events and activities at Langley. Due to technical difficulties, our class communications are transitioning to google groups. Graduation is only a week away! Here are some important UPDATED graduation to-dos for parents and students.
1- Each Langley 2017 graduate will receive six (6) tickets for graduation guests. The graduate DOES NOT need a ticket. Please review the 2017 Graduation Letter here and other very important attachments from Laura Moore, our Langley Class of 2017 Assistant Principal here. This information will also be mailed home via USPS to each family, and posted on both the Langley website and our class page.
2 -Don't forget to purchase an ANGP ticket for your student! All Night Grad Party (ANGP) is June 15th, the night of graduation and your student will not want to miss it! Also, we are selling Graduate Yard Signs (deadline extended to April 30th) and conducting a Graduation Limo Ticket Raffle (for a limo ride to graduation and premium graduation box seating!!) to help defray the cost of games, prizes, food, decorations and mementos at ANGP. For more info, visit our ANGP page. You can fill out the attached form to purchase ANGP tickets, limo raffle tickets, yard signs or all three!
3 – Plan to attend Baccalaureate and encourage your student to participate. Baccalaureate is scheduled for Sunday, June 11th, 2017 from 4 - 5:30pm in the Langley Auditorium. This is a non-denominational event to honor the students from the Class of 2017. The event is for seniors and their families, and is planned by students and parent volunteers. Please help make this event special by encouraging your senior to participate, with readings, performances, musical offerings, songs and/or dance. Student participants can sign up here.
4- Update your calendars with important senior dates for graduation events! Key upcoming dates include:
June 11 Baccalaureate 4pm – 5:30pm Langley Auditorium
June 12 Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal
June 13 Senior Field Trip to Hershey Park
June 14 Senior Family Breakfast, Senior Awards Assembly, Mandatory Graduation
Rehearsal/Ticket Distribution
June 15 Graduation Class of 2017, 11am – DAR Constitution Hall
June 15-16 All Night Graduation Party (ANGP) 11pm June 15 – 4am June 16
Photos/Special Moments Committee
Our Special Moments Committee is collecting photos of the Class of 2017. These photos will ultimately be used for our Senior Video. We need your help to ensure that all students and all aspects of life at Langley are presented (sports, performing arts, social, academic, etc.). Group shots are preferred, but only with Class of 2017 students. Please also identify students in the photo if possible.
