Sophomore Class Forum #3: Meet Jennifer:
Empowering Our Kids with Guidance on Substance Abuse
Thank you to Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Jennifer Maddox-Byrd for leading a discussion on youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. She along with Counselor Lauren Lipton and Principal Stroud addressed parental concerns, stigmas, protective factors, resources and how to best talk to your student about ATOD. Students meet with her following an ATOD discipline action OR a self-, peer-, or adult-referral. Don't worry. If your student receives counseling from her, it will never be reported by FCPS to any colleges. She is there to confidentially support your child. Ms. Maddox-Byrd can be contacted via email.
